I am the man on the moon,
Skipping stars, spreading across empty gloom.
I am the merchant of Venice,
Trading lives, as if they were mere cloves & spice.
I am the sinner of Magdalene,
Hurt her many times, every time my heart she tried to clean.
I am the fiddler on the roof,
Avoided you like a plague, your feelings I kept aloof.
I am the keeper of this gate,
My heart kept locked, my mind sedate.
I am the romeo in rebuke,
Poisoned her, no other could taste her, no other mortal nor duke.
I am the super human of steel,
Never out of mind nor out of sight…. cause she is my kryptonite.
I am the guardian of the queen,
Enshrined her within my world, unjust & mean.
I am the blind man groping with the lantern,
Kept her dark about my disguise, kaliedoscopic lies wound across her like fern.
I am stark naked across the sun,
Wet with shame, sins that can't be undone.
I am the lover of adonis,
How much should I grieve, for her for me to forgive.
